Monday 27 April 13:00 until 16:00
ÄûÃÊÊÓƵ Campus : Forest Food Garden
Part of the series: Nature Sense Monitoring
We’re excited to invite you to take part in a .
On 27th April, join this event delivered by Nature Sense on behalf of the ÄûÃÊÊÓƵ. You’ll receive training to become a citizen scientist and help track the ups and downs of invertebrate populations across two areas of campus.
This session will also contribute to the Campus Nature Challenge (24–27 April) - a global effort to record biodiversity and better understand the wildlife around us.
During the event, you’ll be guided in identifying butterflies and key groups of pollinators, recording your observations using the iRecord Butterflies and FIT Count apps as well as iNaturalist. These records will contribute to both the Campus Nature Challenge and Nature Sense’s Sussex-wide ecological monitoring programme.
This is a fantastic opportunity to meet like-minded people, spend time outdoors, and learn new ecological skills - while contributing to real scientific research.
All are welcome, and no prior knowledge is required.
Staff, don't forget you can use your volunteering leave to join this event. Find out how to book your leave .
