This induction is for newly appointed Health and Safety Coordinators and aims to introduce you to, and support you in, the role, whilst building and strengthening relationships with other Health and Safety Coordinators through discussion based activities. By the end of the course you will be able to:

• Describe your role and responsibilities as a Health and Safety Coordinator.
• Explain how to report an accident, incident or near miss.
• State the role of the Health and Safety Coordinator in relation to risk assessment.
• Identify sources of information and useful contacts who can support you in the role.
