Module Outline
The Dissertation in Data Science is a central piece of work for the MSc. In it you will perform independent study and research in a Data Science related topic of your choice under the guidance of a supervisor. You will present the outcomes of your research in different formats. While pursuing your research, you will have access to on/off-campus computing, data sources and library facilities, including research journals. This will give you the chance to enhance your skills in coding, data analysis, machine learning and technical writing.

analyse and interpret the current relevant research literature
critically evaluate data sets and draw their own conclusions
present and communicate information in a clear and concise form
communicate scientific results to both specialist and wider audiences
