Disability support scheme
Students with a disability can apply for a £500 bursary and get one to one supervision with a fitness instructor.
About the scheme
Sussex Sport offer up to six bursaries of £500 each year to provide students with a disability access to our fitness rooms and one to one supervision with a qualified fitness instructor. This is supported by the Sussex Fund and the ÄûÃÊÊÓÆµ Alumni Team and via the Disability Support Team. The bursary is there to provide support to individuals who wouldn't be able to use the facilities or the fitness spaces safely.

Discussing your needs
Once you are registered with the disability support team, you will meet with a member of Sussex Sport to discuss your individual needs, requirements and interests. Potential areas of discussion beyond one to one support can also include:
- the most appropriate Sussexsport membership option
- available fitness advice, guidance and support
- casual sporting opportunities, including our drop-in Active US programme
- our classes and courses programme
- club sport options (including outdoor pursuits, martial arts and the British Universities and Colleges Sports [BUCS] offer)
- our Sports Scholarship Scheme for talented athletes.
