Autumn teaching
On this module, you'll explore Canadian administrative law. This area of law regulates the government's relationships with individuals and makes sure its actions are fair.
You'll study:
- how government bodies and administrative tribunals make decisions and act
- how government bodies operate within the boundaries of their authority
- how administrative law acts as a check on governmental power
- how administrative law is authorised by Parliament or provincial legislatures, and exercised responsibly, transparently and inline with the law.

Contact hours and workload
This module is approximately 150 hours of work. This breaks down into about 26 hours of contact time and about 124 hours of independent study. The University may make minor variations to the contact hours for operational reasons, including timetabling requirements.
