Politics masterclass

A free one-day Masterclass at the ÄûÃÊÊÓƵ for A-level students interested in studying Politics at university.
You’ll:

- hear fresh insights from professors of politics working at the forefront of their fields
- be inspired with a genuine university campus experience at one of the UK’s leading Politics departments
- strengthen UCAS applications with meaningful extra curricular engagement.
Geography Uncharted
Date: Tuesday 7 July 2026
Time: 10am-2pm
Attend our free one-day conference at Sussex for anyone interested in exploring Geography beyond A Level.
We’ll cover:
- research
- impact
- geographical skills.
You’ll also:
- enjoy three exceptional lectures from our faculty designed to link to key concepts from the Geography A Level syllabus and show how Geography at University differs
- experience a university campus
- meet current Sussex Geography students
- enjoy a campus tour from the student perspective
- strengthen UCAS applications with meaningful extracurricular engagement.
The conference will be hosted by Dr Olivia Taylor (Admissions Tutor) and Professor Mike Collyer (Head of Department).
Sociology, Anthropology and Criminology masterclass
Date: Friday 3 July 2026
Time: 10am-2pm
The Department of Sociology and Criminology and the Department of Anthropology at the ÄûÃÊÊÓƵ are collaborating to deliver a rolling programme of free, one-day Masterclasses, primarily aimed at A-level students, but also open to anyone interested in knowing more about what studying anthropology, sociology or criminology is like at university level.
The day includes three thought-provoking sessions delivered by Sussex academics that will give you a taste of the kinds of things we study at university-level through these three exciting disciplines: anthropology, sociology and criminology. We’ll begin the day at 10am, where our staff and Student Ambassadors will be ready to welcome you and help you get settled.
